This was written by Freddy C. owner of Crossfit One world,

Yesterday, there was a lengthy discussion posted in comments concerning form over speed. You have all heard me say and you have seen it posted: "It don't mean shit if your form ain't legit!" Does that mean that I don't want you to post your time or even show up to work out? Hell no! Your time that you post is the best time you could do for your athletic ability. I respect that and you should be damn proud of it. What I am saying is that if you are totally sacrificing your form so you can be the fastest person in your session (and worse yet, bragging about it, which hasn't happened at our gym), no one will care, and all will know that you are not legit.

I want everyone to watch this video. It's the Intro to Intensity video that was filmed at One World. The first half of the video is Coach Glassman lecturing about "What is Intensity?" (Not mentioned in this video is Coach Glassaman acknowledging that some form is always lost when dealing in the realm of intensity. Not ideal.....but a reality.) Great stuff, but not why I posted the video. The beginning of the video is the demo for the workout. Nicole Carroll, Crossfit Goddess, is demonstrating the right and wrong way to do the movements of the workout. Before every workout at One World, you are all shown what is "good" and what is "bad." The perfect form is what we try to do. The demonstrations of the bad form are what most of us end up doing. The point is, the perfect form is what work at, and the perfect form in the fastest time is what we strive for!

Keep working your asses off. Push yourself. It is your trainer's job to push you to the limit of your athletic ability without you hurting yourself. Does your form need work? Of course it does. EVERYONE'S form needs at least a little work!

This messege is pretty important. I'd hate to see anyone get hurt because of bad form...thanks, CoachB!

Good stuff Boss B.

Having never messed around with Oly lifts, all that stuff is Xfit new to me. Tons of never ending form work to be done there.

But the simple stuff like push ups, sit ups or squats: the better you do them, the more you can do them faster. Seems simple - until you get tired of course

Now, if I can just figure out that ##@%^@#&$#^ form on those &#^!%%#$# muscles ups.....

This is a must read for all of us! Its time to stop and take a look at why we all do this as we all do it with different goals and at different levels.. we sure must love it as we keep coming back for more
Time to take a step back for me as Coach Glassman says " It don't mean s*^t if your form ain't legit" I love it!
